The Chillout Lounge Mix - Twilight

Music for when the sun has set, a great time to connect with yourself and people you care about.

Starting this mix with my own track Infinity from the Ethereal EP on Fenestra Music (Einmusika’s sister label), an atmospheric and mesmerizing ambient piece, devoid of beats, featuring expansive reverberations and ethereal effects that evoke a sense of eternity. Introducing Mario Navajo's debut single Me & You on MYR. Following two successful collaborations with label head Goeran Meyer, Navajo takes center stage with his own creation, a pulsating electronic anthem that promises to captivate listeners. Embark on a journey through the immersive rhythms of Me & You, where each beat is a heartbeat, syncing with the energy of love and connection. Mario Navajo's meticulous production weaves a tapestry of infectious melodies, inviting you to surrender to the euphoria of shared moments. The superb Stripped Recordings takes us way out east, Phuket, Thailand to be exact where we find talented producer Stereo Mind. This is his first release with Stripped Recordings which comes just three months after his Wake Up EP which dropped on their sister label Stripped Digital. The new five track EP entitled Astronaut takes you on a predominantly melodic, electronic, and organic journey, pure bliss. A collaboration between Intu Music label owner Gustin and the Dutch duo Around Us has resulted in the incredible title track Hang Tight. It garnered tremendous support from renowned artists such as Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, who showcased it during numerous events throughout the European summer season to rapturous crowd approval. Most notably, their back-to-back sets at Loveland Festival and The Soundgarden Ibiza featured it. The dynamic combination of Hernan Cattaneo and Soundexile took Hang Tight to new heights with their remarkable remix. The package is completed with the enchanting production of Heavenly Voices, this euphoric gem is driven by a captivating melody accompanied by ethereal vocal stabs and soaring arpeggios, taking you on a transcendent musical journey. Surefire purveyors of feelgood moments on the dance floor, Berlin-based outfit Kon Faber punch in on A Tribe Called Kotori with their very first transmission, Vortex. A further syncopation-heavy piece of electroid boogie, Elevate "keeps on raising the mood with its housy drums and clear chord pattern", channeling the whole of its punch towards a slaying, hair-raising drop. Flush with vibrant deep house-y tropes mounted onto an all-road EBM chassis, this one is a testimony to Kon Faber's ever potent and dazzling floor vocab. Peggy Gou (XL Recordings) returns after a triumphant 2023 with her latest release, 1+1=11. This original offering, featuring both a rhythmic and beatless version, will transports the dance floor into a dreamlike journey through sound. With buoyant keys, reverberated synths, and an animated bassline, 1+1=11 captivates with its blend of dreamy textures. Acid-like synths intertwine with pulsating bass, accompanied by ethereal pads. The beatless rendition serves as a versatile DJ tool while maintaining its own captivating allure. Bionic Luminescence by Illuvia “A journey started, a journey completed.” I enjoy all of Illuvia’s sonic trips, the most beautiful music always, the reinterpretation by Priyesh P in this mix is sublime. Electronica label Atomnation returns after a half-year break with a new 12" from one of their mainstay acts, Gidge, who delivered an immersive new five-tracker, titled Tundra. Opening with the gorgeous Gausta. Heartbroken chords are draped over slow, dejected rhythms, while vocal fragments and distant nature sounds add a signature organic touch to this most rueful of tracks. Whiteout closes with five minutes of crepuscular synths that paint the picture of a barren and misty landscape untouched by human intervention. Tim Angrave - Nocturnal (Numen Records) is an exploration of the night's mysterious allure, with deep, divine and dark elements fused with captivatingly beautiful vocal interjections, all of which embody the essence of the night. Whispers is from my Mirrors EP on Crossfade Sounds. Oceanside is one of the first tracks made by the superb Kamara, it had many versions and forms, from more club oriented to techno, but finally they decided to make a nice chillout version which is perfect for sitting in the sun, oceanside with a nice cold drink in hand. [Inf!né] InFiné Music celebrate Piano Day 2024 with you by offering three seminal albums from their Piano collection and encourage you to explore their playlists dedicated to the instrument in its many manifestations, I chose the Aphex Twin and Strings Of Life versions, lots to choose from. Presenting the first of Reflections emerging-artist EP series for 2024, Reflections 08 reveals six brand new compositions and label debuts to the Anjunafamily. Configurations Of Self delivers more quality music with a nice chilled D&B version of Stronger.
